Get Shifting reserves the right to update and change the Terms of Service without notice.
The Terms of Service are subject to change at any discretion and updates will be made available on our website. By booking a lesson, you agree to adhere to the Terms in effect at the time of your booking. Should you book multiple lessons simultaneously, the Terms and conditions in force at the time of such booking will govern each of the lessons booked.
Payment and Cancellation Policy
- All payments to be made online upon receipt of invoice, prior to the lesson
- Payment to be made by Credit Card or Bank Transfer only, cash will not be accepted
- Cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled lesson time will not be refunded
- For our Test Day package, in the event that your test cannot proceed for reasons outside the control of Get Shifting, no refund will be given. You are responsible for ensuring all pre-requisites are complete (including logbook entries and hours), booking the correct test and knowing the correct booking time and location
- Packages are valid for 6 months from the purchase date, any portion of the hours unused in that time will not be refunded
Student Responsibilities
- You are required to possess and carry a current Australian driving license (Class C LRN or C) or an equivalent overseas license during all lessons
- It is your responsibility to be fit to drive. If you are sick, extremely tired, under the influence of alcohol/drugs or are affected by any medicines, please reschedule your lesson. Driving a car requires your full attention and you must have a clear head and be alert!
- Please wear appropriate footwear. Enclosed flat soled shoes that fit securely. You need to be able to safely operate 3 pedals with both feet
- Be on time for your lesson! If you are late the lesson will still end at the scheduled time regardless of time started. In the event that the instructor is late or unable to attend we will endeavour to provide the lesson type that was booked or reschedule your lesson if this is not possible
- While driving you are responsible for the speed of the vehicle, knowing what the current speed limit is and obeying all applicable road rules. Any traffic offenses that occur during the course of the lesson, while you are operating the vehicle, will be your responsibility
- Listen to your instructor, follow all instructions given to you and be respectful. Repeated failure to do this, or outright abusive behaviour, will result in termination of the lesson and we reserve the right to refuse further lessons.
- You are responsible for management of your logbook, booking of relevant tests and meeting all the requirements outlined by Service NSW
- Please look after any personal items brought with you to the lesson. Get Shifting assumes no responsibility for damage/loss of personal items unless as a direct result of an action by our instructor
